About ASIF
The African Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF) is a multilateral platform uniting sovereign investors from across the continent to support Africa’s sustainable development and ensure the transfer of wealth to future generations. Launched in June 2022, ASIF began with 10 founding members and has since expanded to include 15 sovereign investors.
By joining forces, ASIF members are committed to building a Resilient, Inclusive, Sustainable, and Empowered Africa – “RISE” Africa. The Forum’s core mission is to mobilize long-term capital and channel it toward strategic investments in key sectors that drive Africa’s growth and transformation.
Through strategic investments and cross-border cooperation, ASIF plays a crucial role in channelling capital into high-impact projects, accelerating Africa’s long-term prosperity and resilience.
Since inception, ASIF convenes its Annual Meetings where member institutions focus on actionable strategies to advance sustainable development within Africa.
The Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF) will hold its 4th Annual Meeting from June 15–17, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria.
This high-profile gathering, themed “Leveraging African Sovereign Wealth Funds to Mobilize Global Capital for Transformative Development in Africa,” will bring together African Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs), Development Finance Institutions, regional and global investors, and key representatives from the Nigerian government to explore sustainable strategies for reshaping Africa’s socio-economic landscape through capital mobilization.
Hosted by the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), the meeting will spotlight innovative financial solutions, strategic partnerships, and cross-border collaboration essential to unlocking the full potential of African sovereign wealth funds in driving transformative development across the continent.
